The final requirements for SIG were published in the Federal Register on Thursday, October 28, 2010. These final requirements adopt, without changes, the interim final requirements published on January 21, 2010.  (The interim final requirements amended the SIG requirements published on December 1, 2009 to include the new authority included in the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2010 that expanded the group of schools that were eligible to receive SIG funds and raised the maximum amount of SIG funds that SEAs may award to LEAs for each participating school from $500,000 to $2,000,000.)   The notice published last Thursday incorporates the provisions of both the interim final requirements (January 21, 20101) and the December 10, 2009 final requirements into a single document.

Please note that these SIG final requirements are not the Fiscal Year (FY) 2010 SIG guidance.  We expect the Department to release that guidance soon.
